Meet our 2024 Nashville student advisory board

The 2024 Nashville Student Advisory Board developed a Free Civic Engagement Toolkit designed to make government more accessible and interactive for youth in 8th grade and up. The toolkit features hands-on simulations exploring the three branches of government, including the legislative process, Supreme Court decisions, and a mock presidential election. It also includes activities on often-overlooked topics like redistricting and gerrymandering, local government meetings, the Electoral College, and national political conventions.

Their goal is to ensure that all students, regardless of income or geography, have the tools to understand how government works—and how they can shape it.
