Kallie Taylor is joining AWAKE as our new Program Director. Kallie’s penchant for community development springs from her deep desire to advance gender equality and promote social justice. As a new mom to a 9-month-old baby girl, her commitment to improving the lives of all women and children across Tennessee is stronger than ever.

Most recently, Kallie served as Development Director with Nurses for Newborns in Tennessee, overseeing the fundraising portfolio for this Nashville-based nonprofit centered on reducing maternal and infant mortality, child abuse, and neglect throughout Middle Tennessee.

Kallie earned a BA in English Literature from Arizona State University, a Certificate in Publishing from New York University, and a master's degree in International Development from the University of Kent in Brussels, Belgium, where she specialized in issues pertaining to women and girls. Nowadays, she loves exploring the parks and trails around Middle TN with her husband Nat, daughter Elodie, and golden retriever Emmett.

If you'd like to reach out to Kallie and wish her a warm welcome or discuss AWAKE programming, she can be reached at kallietaylor@awaketn.org.
