AWAKE STUDENT ADVISORY BOARD
AWAKE's Student Advisory Board is a dynamic initiative rooted in the principles of equity and justice. Embracing an approach that empowers those affected by harmful systems, we recognize the pivotal decision-making power of youth and marginalized communities. In line with our commitment to fostering positive change, this annual program assembles a cohort of high school students who are selected through a rigorous application and interview process. More than just a leadership opportunity, the Student Advisory Board serves as a catalyst for effective youth-focused service across Tennessee. Our board members convene monthly to lend their insights to AWAKE's educational and legislative goals, engage in discussions with organizational leaders and guest speakers, learn vital skills in advocacy leadership, and embark on self-determined advocacy projects addressing relevant social issues.
