The Policy Action Team is AWAKE’s dedicated volunteer group that engages in advocacy efforts and decisions in a dynamic and ongoing way. Team members attend monthly meetings throughout the year (more frequent when the General Assembly is in session) to discuss policy priorities, updates on the social and political climate in Tennessee, hear from movement leaders, and have open conversation about organizational efforts, issues, and successes. 

This volunteer group is made up of individuals who are passionate about AWAKE's mission of gender equity, youth empowerment and working toward a vision of Tennessee where all people have equitable access to thrive. By joining our Policy Action Team, you'll not only make a difference in people's lives, but you'll also gain valuable skills, deepen your understanding of the legislative process, and build connections with like-minded individuals who share your passion.
